About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Risk Governance Lead manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring robust risk governance across the group, aligning with regulatory expectations and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking regulation and risk management frameworks, with deep knowledge of Hungarian National Bank (MNB), European Banking Authority (EBA), and European Central Bank (ECB) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and oversee group-level risk governance processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Interpret and implement regulatory guidelines from MNB, EBA, and ECB into actionable governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to strengthen risk culture and governance standards across the organization.
• Monitor regulatory developments and proactively adapt governance practices to maintain compliance.
• Drive and oversee the development, maintenance and implementation of the group-level Risk Strategy and group-level standards, such as the risk governance standards and internal control framework.
• Liaise and maintain correspondence with supervisory authorities and internal/external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
• Drive and oversee the implementation of action plans related to supervisory inspection and audit findings, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
• Prepare and present risk governance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Act as a subject matter expert in risk governance, providing guidance and training where necessary.

• University degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in risk governance, compliance, or regulatory roles within the banking sector.
• Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of MNB, EBA, and ECB regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and governance structures.
• Skills:
  • Self-driven, proactive, and highly operative mindset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluent in English (strong verbal and written communication) and Hungarian.
