Innovation Consultant – Senior Associate in Venture Building 

About the Innovation Team (OTP LAB)
OTP Bank has established its Innovation Department, OTP LAB to foster new ideas and support the bank to exploit its innovation potential. Within OTP LAB we have started a Venture Building operation whose aim is to look for entry points into new industries, and to support scaling ventures by acting as an internal consultancy. We offer you to join an entrepreneurial, dynamic and rapidly growing team, and shape the future of banking. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to make real impact within one of the largest financial groups in CEE 

We count on you in these tasks:

• you will take major part in high impact, high-visibility projects as a true intrapreneur with the goal of developing and launching new product lines, new revenue streams and/or expanding the current business into new markets
• main part of your work will focus on coming up with ways to strengthen current beyond banking ecosystem companies by new, strategic initiatives let it be developing a new service offering portfolio or extending the business model of the company into new areas
• you will be working on growth models concerning growing by acquisitions or organic ways of growth
• your work could potentially involve projects where you explore ways how the bank or beyond banking companies may enter into new industries
• you are going to work mainly with OTP LAB colleagues, as well as colleagues from the M&A department and beyond banking ecosystem portfolio companies (e.g. Fizz, Foglaljorvost, Zenga, etc)
• you will report to the Head of Venture Building in OTP LAB
• you will have the possibility to present cases and opportunities to various management members within the beyond banking ecosystem
• this role is likely to push you out of your comfort zone, but at the same time it will give you the chance to take a major part reshaping traditional banking customer touchpoints

You are welcome to apply if you 

• gained a minimum of 4 years of experience in product or business development, consulting, strategy or private equity/venture capital or a combination of these fields
• understand M&A transactions processes (without a strong track record)
• have experience in business planning, and corporate valuation
• are proactive, action-oriented, and follow through on commitments
• are humble and you share our passion for building and executing new initiatives
• are able to see the big picture while not losing sight of small details
• are able to lead complex projects independently
• have strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• have good analytical skills
• are fluent in Hungarian and English
• are team player and fun to work with 😊

You start with advantage if you have

• experience in implementing post-merger integrations or complex corporate development projects
• track record in M&A (as a consultant or as a commercial work stream lead on corporate side)
