SRE Engineer

OTP Bank was the first credit institution in Hungary to introduce the agile organizational model, in which Tribes, Squads and Chapters replaced the former board of directors, in order to achieve shorter development period/time and greater employee satisfaction. In such a dynamically growing team, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will collaborate with software developers, verification and IT security engineers in designing complex and bullet-proof applications as a member of the DevOps team.

Roles and responsibilities:
•    Design, build and support automated software development (CI/CD)
•    Deploy and manage OpenShift based infrastructure with Helm, Fleet and ArgoCD
•    Supporting software development in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments
•    Support our transition to OpenShift from LXC based infrastructure 
•    Finding new solutions, implementing proof of concepts
•    Support developer team's escalated requests

What we required?
•    At least 4 years of hands-on experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Azure DevOps)
•    Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
•    Scripting knowledge – Bash, Shell, Python
•    Experience in Ansible
•    Advanced level of experience with Linux systems
•    Advanced level of experience with HighAvalibility Systems
•    Advanced level of experience with Version Control Systems such as Git
•    Advanced level of experience with Containerization such as Docker
•    Advanced level of experience with Container Orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
•    Understanding Helm, ArgoCD, Fleet
•    Understanding microservice architecture
•    Analytical and problem-solving way of thinking

Possible advantages experience with the followings:
•    ELK stack knowledge
•    LXC container knowledge
•    Knowledge of Monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus in a Microservice architecture
•    Cloud experience (Azure)
•    Familiarity with software development lifecycle methods such as Agile
