Data Architect expert

To develop further the corporate lending processes of OTP Group (12 countries) and to strengthen its digital strategy, OTP Bank is introducing a new workflow management system among its international group members, that promotes the harmonization and modernization of the lending processes, better decision making and improved transparency across OTP's foreign subsidiaries.

To complete this task, we are looking for an English-speaking Data Architect expert who is open to learning and using new technologies, and who wants to participate in new system implementations internationally, as part of a diverse team.

This is a unique opportunity for applicants who want to work and develop themselves professionally in the field of IT at the headquarters of a banking group in Hungary.

Assignments/Tasks:
•    The data architect is responsible for ensuring that the data model and data flows in and around the new workflow system supporting the corporate lending processes under implementation are in line with the bank group's data strategy and commercial banking strategy and serve them both in the short and long term.
•    The data architect actively cooperates with the relevant business and IT stakeholders, data managers and Data Office, ensuring group-level business and technological value creation through the data architecture of the new system to be delivered.
•    By designing the data architecture, it ensures data integrity between IT developments/initiatives affecting the commercial banking business.
•    Supports architects working on the design of solutions with forward-looking data governance solutions and standards.
•    Represents the basic principles of data security included in the relevant external and internal regulations for both on-premise and cloud applications.
•    Supports external suppliers in designing solutions that take into account the banking group's data strategy.
•    Defines the data model in relation to data architecture, proposes ’mastership rules’.

We are looking for an applicant with:
•    Specialized (IT) degree or equivalent professional experience
•    Experience in planning and implementing business intelligence and data warehouse platforms, defining data mastership logics in banking or telecommunication environment
•    Data architecture planning experience in both on premise, cloud and hybrid environments
•    Comprehensive knowledge of data engineering fundamentals and best practices
•    Knowledge of MSSQL, RDBMS, NoSQL, Cache & In-memory technologies
•    Comprehensive data transformation skills
•    Knowledge of supporting technologies, e.g. Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, etc.
•    Experience in implementing data-driven solutions
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent data modeling skills
•    Experience in mapping data modules to business capabilities and applications
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills
•    Confident theoretical knowledge
•    Team player
•    The job is based in Budapest, but the applicant should be willing to travel abroad if required

It is further advantage if the applicant: 
•    has experience in the lending domain
•    has experience in implementing workflow systems
•    is knowledgeable about TOGAF and BIAN
•    has general knowledge of database managers (Oracle Db, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL),
•    possesses Software engineering/Software architect experience
•    has experience in a multinational environment
•    has knowledge about multi-tenant environments
•    has knowledge about cloud platforms and architectures
